Anna at Boardwalk Homes in Kitchener, Ontario shares with us a little more about their unique properties.
Q: Share with us how Boardwalk Homes started.
A: We didn’t start as an accommodation business, but rather as an innovative education initiative.
Our first two guest houses were specifically designed for executive trainees of University of Waterloo and Wilfred Laurier University, particularly for an International Executive Training Program - CETP. The CETP was one of the last international programs started by the past president of the University of Waterloo in 2010. This program showcases the talents and innovations of our local companies and educational institutions to international trainees, and has been endorsed by local politicians including the Mayor of Waterloo, and business development agencies such as Canada’s Technology Triangle.
We usually have full occupancy during the training seasons, but in our non-training seasons, we have decided to release them to all visitors to our region.
We have since expanded from the two executive guest houses to include condo suites with one, two and three bedrooms, hence the birth of Boardwalk Homes Executive Guest Houses & Suites. So whether you are in Kitchener-Waterloo for a business trip, relocation, as a visiting professional, or attending a wedding, family reunion, vacation or corporate function, Boardwalk Homes can meet your needs. Our hotel style rooms, private suites or whole house private rentals are ideal for short and long term visitors who want the quality of a 4 star hotel, with a modern well equipped kitchen to enjoy home cooked meals. Boardwalk Homes Guest Houses & Suites are perfect for individuals, families or larger groups.
